Today marks the last day of three great days we have spent in Atlanta, Georgia.
Atlanta is proud of its black culture and heritage: It's the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr and home to three of America's top African American Colleges. We understand better how it feels to be in a minority group after a few days here where there are more black faces than white. It's also a big city, with the population nudging six million. Despite its size, it's a navigable place, with extremely friendly people and lots to see and do.
We spent one of our days at the Georgia Aquarium (the whale sharks are amazing) and Coca-Cola Museum (which was just like Coke itself - well marketed, enjoyable and of absolutely no nutritional value at all). Another day we did a city tour with a local named Steve who took us around the city in his electric car and gave us a great overview of Atlanta's history and culture, followed by the afternoon at Legoland (Logan's choice). And today we spent at the Fernberg Museum which has one of the best natural history collections in the South. I have also had the best dessert of the whole trip here in Atlanta: Deep Fried Cheesecake - amazingly good.

| At the Coca Cola museum you get to taste more than 60 different flavours of softdrink made by Coke around the world: Some were truly revolting! |
| Inside the Olympic rings in the Olympic Park. |
| The Georgia Aquarium is the largest in North America and has four whale sharks - the biggest fish in the world. |
| Coca Cola recently moved the secret recipe for Coke from the SunTrust bank to its new vault at the Coke Museum |
| Logan enjoyed the afternoon at Legoland Atlanta. |
| The electric vehicle which we toured Atlanta in - it was a freezing day with the temperature not getting above 10 degrees Celsius! |
Tomorrow we hand back White Knight (with nearly 3000 more miles on his clock then when we started) and fly to Fort Worth/Dallas in Texas for a final weekend of sightseeing and shopping before catching a flight home late Monday night.
I really am going to miss your blogs - maybe have to continue on when you get home with "Days of our Bris-vegas lives"! Off to Airlie tomorrow; Sue is coming up with me for the weekend to see Gracie - she is piling on the weight thankfully. Hope you enjoy the last few days in USA and a safe return to Oz. Love, Mum and Jim. xxx
